From a young age I was always encouraged to be creative and to explore the arts. At the age of 12, I took some courses in stained glass and sculpture. After completing a few projects, I began my own business selling stained glass pieces. In 1991, I graduated from The University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I studied art history, dance, printmaking, painting, and graduated with a degree in Illustration. In 1992, I started Cat'n'Mouse Design, and started out painting children’s furniture for local galleries in the North Shore. I had much success, and one of my pieces, the" tiger chair", was featured in The Boston Globe in 1993. I started painting murals soon after, and have been slowly building my client list. I have been a realist painter all my life, and my painting style has a youthful spirit and a whimsical feel.
As a mother of 3, I share in some of the carefree spirit that my children see everyday. I love nature, and try conveying some magic from our youth into every piece I paint, although my murals and furniture certainly have a whimsical flare.
I also have a wide range of talents and am not afraid to tackle any project large or small. My medium of choice would be acrylics and watercolors. Because of the diversity of the paints, you can achieve a washed out look, or a vibrant block of color.
I am very professional and complete all jobs on time and with full satisfaction. Please view my portfolio and share some of my passion for nature and the whimsy of life.
